How long will free public transport last in the Valencian Community?
Today, 19 December, the Plenary of the Consell has approved the decree law approving the extension of fare reductions on public transport services managed by the Generalitat for a period of six months in 2024. In other words, the temporary youth travel pass for under 30s will remain free until 30 June 2024.
What public transport modes will be free?
Taking into account that this is a measure promoted by the Generalitat Valenciana, free public transport will be:
- Metrovalencia
- EMT Valencia
- Metrobús
- Alicante Tram
- Tram Castellón

How do I get a free public transport pass in Valencia if I don't have it yet?
To get the temporary free public transport pass in the Valencian Community you will have to follow the following steps:
- Valencia and Alicante: In order to request this new free card in Metrovalencia and TRAM d'Alacant, you will have to request an appointment through the specific websites for each transport.
- Castellón: In the case of TRAM Castelló, you can request it now at Calle Carcagente, 1 in person.
On the other hand, it will be essential to present your ID to be able to justify being under 30 years old at the time of the application.
Finally, emphasize that this new subscription will involve the creation of a new temporary card and not the use of existing cards such as the SUMA Card.
