History of Line 8 Metrovalencia
Metrovalencia line 8 stands out for being the shortest of all. Its tram section corresponds completely to the old line 5. This section has been in operation under different names since April 2, 2007, when the Marítim Station was inaugurated. This intermodal station was designed to connect line 5 with the tram to the port, which began operating on April 16, 2007 between the Maritim and Neptú stations.
In February 2021, the Frequency Improvement Plan was presented, which proposes the elimination of the current route of line 8, being absorbed by line 6.
